1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Budgie ("the Service"), operated by Nispre ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Budgie is a household budget management platform that helps couples and households track expenses, split bills fairly, set savings goals, and manage their finances together. The Service includes:
- CSV bank statement upload and transaction categorization
- Expense tracking and splitting between household partners
- Budget planning and monitoring
- Savings goal tracking
- Financial dashboards and reports
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Subscription and Payments
Budgie offers subscription-based pricing. By subscribing to a paid plan:
- You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise specified
- Refunds are provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Upload malicious files or code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use the Service to process financial data for third parties without authorization
6. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:
- We do not connect to your bank accounts directly
- We only process CSV files you voluntarily upload
- Your financial data is encrypted and isolated per household
- We do not sell your data to third parties
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Nispre and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- The results obtained from the Service will be accurate
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
Budgie is not financial advice. We provide tools for tracking and organizing your finances, but we are not financial advisors. Consult a qualified professional for financial advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, Nispre shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may cancel your account at any time through the Service or by contacting us.
Upon termination, you may export your data. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
